TN Election 2024 Result Live Updates: The ruling DMK swiftly gained an early advantage in various constituencies in Tamil Nadu. Notably, star candidates like Kanimozhi in Thoothukudi, T R Baalu in Sriperumbudur, and Dayanidhi Maran in Central Chennai were leading by modest margins as the counting of postal ballots concluded by 8:30 am, as per TOI reports.
Similarly, allies of the DMK, including Karti Chidambaram from the Congress party in Sivaganga and Su Venkatesan from the Marxist party in Madurai, held narrow leads over their opponents.
Amid stringent security measures, the counting process for the April 19 Lok Sabha elections commenced simultaneously across all 39 constituencies in Tamil Nadu. A total of 950 candidates are vying for victory in these constituencies, which witnessed a voter turnout of 69.72 percent during the single-phase election.

Polling for the 2024 general elections, covering 543 parliamentary constituencies, started on April 19, followed by the second phase on April 26, the third on May 7, the fourth on May 13, the fifth on May 20, the sixth on May 25 and the last phase on June 1.
