Voting has begun across 57 Lok Sabha seats in Bihar, West Bengal, Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh, Odisha, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh and the union territory of Chandigarh in the seventh and last phase of the 2024 general elections. The most notable candidate today is Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is seeking a third consecutive term in office from his parliamentary constituency of Varanasi. These elections will determine the fate of 904 candidates, with over 10.06 crore citizens eligible to exercise their franchise. Vote counting for the Lok Sabha elections will take place on June 4, while results for the Assembly polls in Arunachal Pradesh and Sikkim will be declared on June 2.
