Lok Sabha Election 2024: What Is The State Of Play After Lok Sabha Polls Phase 4? Who Has The Edge?

Voter turnout in the ongoing fourth phase of the Lok Sabha polls in 96 seats across nine states and the union territory of Jammu and Kashmir stood at approximately 40.32 per cent by 1 pm. Simultaneous polling is also taking place in all the 175 Assembly seats in Andhra Pradesh and 28 Assembly seats in Odisha. The main focus of Monday’s high-voltage polls is on West Bengal and Uttar Pradesh, where big ticket candidates like Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav, Trinamool Congress leader Mahua Moitra and Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury are in the fray. Meanwhile, polling for the Srinagar seat marks the first major election in Jammu and Kashmir since abrogation of Article 370.
