रायबरेली के डलमऊ कोतवाली क्षेत्र स्थित सुरसना गांव में एक प्राचीन शिव मंदिर के जीर्णोद्धार के दौरान एक महत्वपूर्ण खोज हुई है। मंदिर की खुदाई के दौरान जमीन से कई प्राचीन देवी-देवताओं की मूर्तियां मिली हैं। जिनके बारे में माना जा रहा है कि ये सैकड़ों वर्ष पुरानी हैं। स्थानीय बुजुर्गों के अनुसार, यह मंदिर हजारों वर्ष पुराना है। संभवतः मुगल काल में इसे क्षतिग्रस्त किया गया था। जिसके कारण ये मूर्तियां जमीन में दब गई थीं।
An important discovery has been made during the renovation of an ancient Shiva temple in Surasana village located in Dalmau Kotwali area of Raebareli. During the excavation of the temple, many statues of ancient gods and goddesses have been found from the ground. It is believed that these are hundreds of years old. According to local elders, this temple is thousands of years old. It was probably damaged during the Mughal period. Due to which these statues were buried in the ground.
