Veteran journalist Rajdeep Sardesai’s latest book 2024: The Election That Surprised India dwells into the Lok Sabha polls, pollsters’ failed forecasts, mainstream media’s one-sided narratives, Congress’s comeback, and political narratives.
In a conversation with Manisha Pande, he talks about his book, journalism, and politics, including the Prime Minister’s Office in-house TV production team, workings of a mainstream channel, the infamous Karan Thapar interview of Narendra Modi, and his run-ins with BJP’s Amit Malviya, leading to him blocking Malviya on WhatsApp.
