On our visit to Manipur, we came across a professor living in the relief camp. He told us about the ongoing trauma faced by his community due to prolonged conflict and political neglect. Living in relief camps, he longs for peace but feels abandoned by the government and politicians. Despite the trauma, he pleads for resolution and the chance to rebuild their lives, asking, “What have we done wrong?” His story underscores the human cost of unresolved conflict and the urgent need for reconciliation.
